Queensland Motorways values the communities in which it operates and takes its ongoing stakeholder and community relations very seriously.
Queensland Motorways recognises the importance of communicating, engaging and listening. We believe in providing our stakeholders with access to timely and accurate information and knowledgeable consultation teams. During the year our community engagement and stakeholder consultation efforts have focused on the completion works associated with the Gateway Upgrade Project and the maintenance program for the Logan Motorway.

Industry partnerships
Queensland Motorways is proud to be partnered with the Smart Transport Research Centre and the Academic Strategic Transport Research Alliance. These collaborative research initiatives focus on developing innovative transport technologies, traffic congestion and road safety solutions.
Smart Transport Research Centre
The Smart Transport Research Centre (STRC) is undertaking collaborative research to develop innovative technologies, services, products and policy solutions to combat congestion and improve multimodal network operations. It combines academic expertise from leading Australian universities with international private and government sector innovation, resources and experience. Click here to find out more about the STRC.
Academic Strategic Transport Research Alliance
The Academic Strategic Transport Research Alliance (ASTRA) is a joint arrangement with between Queensland Motorways, the Department of Transport and Main Roads, Translink Transit Authority, Queensland University of Technology, The University of Queensland, and Griffith University. ASTRA is working to build mutual transport capability to address future transport challenges in Queensland using a range of strategies including research, learning and development. The aim is to increase knowledge and information sharing, culminating in innovative transport solutions for Queensland.
